A Little Bit Food has been awarded ‘Free-From Business of the Year’ at the Taste of Kent Awards 2024.
Now in its 19th year, the award ceremony brought together Kent’s vibrant food and drink industry under one roof to celebrate the very best food and drink producers that Kent has to offer.
Organised by Produced in Kent, the celebrations began with the Taste of Kent Festival which took place in The Gulbenkian, Canterbury where industry experts, producers and the public could meet the finalists and sample their products during the day, before enjoying a VIP drinks reception ahead of the ceremony.
The ‘Free-From Business of The Year’ Category was sponsored by the National Resources Institute at The University of Greenwich and recognises the role Kent-based retailers play to the lives of the free-from and allergic consumer. The judges were looking for businesses who went above and beyond for the free-from customer, clearly demonstrating innovation with their free-from products.
A Little Bit Food was crowned the winner of ‘Free-From Business of The Year’ with the judges commenting ‘The free-from credentials are safely labelled, well-communicated and the business is well executed with a clear plan for the future. This company has a very interesting future ahead.’
Their newest product, the Vegan Caesar Dressing & Marinade, was also awarded Silver in the ‘Kent Savoury Pantry Product of the Year’ category.
